Day 7!!!!!!! The Finish Line!!!!!!!

DAY 7!!!!! #GetFitWit_Day Challenge!!! Now that my 7 day juice challenge is coming to an end, I must say I am pleased and feeling great at the same time. I do feel a little fatigue but as I stated before it's due to my own lack of sleep. These past seven days have been good and bad. I say good because I feel wonderful with the food choices that I made, my work outs were wonderful and I didn't  give in on anything I knew would jeopardize my detox!!! I say bad because, slight headaches during day 2-3, fatigue (lack of sleep), I couldn't work out the full 2 hours that I normally work out. Other than that I feel fabulous! During these seven days I am so proud to say that at least 6-7 people have been inspired to start juicing and 2 started my challenge!!! I want to say congratulations to those ladies and also one male!!!
The recipes were simple juices that could be made for 7 days, 3 meals on a $60-$70 budget... Three healthy meals, for 7 days for $60.... That's awesome!!! 
I added oats to each recipe to keep myself full as if I was eating an actual meal and it worked! I also added spinach to every last smoothie to give it that gotta go gotta go gotta go to the bathroom affect lol.... 
I'm not weighing myself as of yet because I'm extending my detox for another 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyy, seven more days! Once August 19 is here, I will then post the results of the challenges... Other then that here is no healthy eating, clean eating and as I always say #TEAMNODIETS



 

Day 6!! #GetFitWit_Day Challenge

Here are the ingredients for day 6 of the #GetFitWit_Day Challenge and I am super excited that day 7 is peeping around the corner... Happy juicing today!!! Enjoy....

Day 6

Sweet Punch Romaine Smoothie
1 Cup Water (If you are drinking this straight away replace this with one cup of ice and add it at the end of blending)
1 Cup Dairy Free Milk (Like this)
1 Cup Strawberries
1 Banana OR 1 Cup of Mango or 1 Small Mango
1 Cup Pineapple
1 Apple chopped
1 Cup chopped Romaine Lettuce, tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed (or Spinach or any other mild greens)
2 Tablespoons Pumpkin Seeds (Like this)
½ Cup dried Apricots (Like this)
1 Cup of Oats (Like this)



Butternut Squash Green Smoothie Ingredients

Half a Cup Coconut Milk
1 and a half Cups Non Dairy Milk (oat, rice, soya, almond, hemp, coconut drink or raw nut or seed milk)
1 Cup Spinach, tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed. (Optional but highly recommended – photo taken without greens)
½ Cup Raisins (or any other dried fruit which can also be pre-soaked for a smoother blend)
2 Cups Butternut Squash
6 Bananas
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg


Day 5 #GetFitWit_Day Challenge

Day 5 ingredients are a repeat of day 4 ingredients.... So make a double serving of Day 4 to drink for Day 5.... Yayyyyyy!!!!!

Day 4 #GetFitWit_Day Ingredients

Cool Pineapple Mint Breeze Juice 
Ingredients :
1 Cup Water (If you are drinking this straight away substitute half a cup of water for ice. Add the ice at the end)
4 Cups pineapple (3/4 of a medium pineapple)
2 fresh or frozen bananas
10 mint leaves
2 TablespoonsLinseeds/flaxseeds
OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED FOR HEALTH BENEFITS
1 Cup Spinach, tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed (or any other mild greens)
1 Cup of oats

Ingredients

Almond Pear Juicy!!!
2 Cups Almond Milk or other Non Dairy Milk (oat, rice, soya, almond, hemp, coconut drink or raw nut or seed milk)
4 Medium Pears (4 Cups)
¼ Cup Almonds
TO MAKE INTO A GREEN SMOOTHIE Add:
1 Cup Spinach, tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed. (Or any other mild greens)
TO MAKE INTO A FRUIT Add:
1 Cup link Oats Or one cup of Quinoa




Ingredients
Pineapple Orange Juice
FRUIT SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS
1 and a half Cups Orange Juice (If you are drinking this straight away substitute one cup of for ice or frozen orange juice)
3 Cups Pineapple
1 Banana
Juice of 1 Lime
TO MAKE INTO A GREEN SMOOTHIE Add:
1 Cup Spinach, tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed. (Or any other mild greens)
TO MAKE INTO A FRUIT SMOOTHIE Add:
1 Cup link Oats Or one cup of Quinoa




Made It To The Middle Day 5(Feels Good)

Well what can I say??? I made it to Day 5 of the #GetFitWit_Day challenge and I must admit it was a challenge, however I made it. Now, I'm not going to say I made it without any food cravings because I would simply be lying. I'm here to report my honest journey through my own challenge and so far so good it's been great. On day Three I ate a spinach salad at the end of the day. Throughout the day I was doing great but towards the end of the day I broke down and consumed a spinach salad with some bake chicken on top. My reasonings for eating that was simply because my body needs protein and I'm tired of the shakes at this point due to the fact I'm Juicing, drinking 64 fl oz of water and proteins urghhhh... Other then that I made it through to day 5 with only one solid meal and I must say I feel wonderful. My food cravings are not as big as I thought they would be because the juices and smoothies are filled with oats. Oats have a way of keeping you full and trust me, it works. I am still working out during this detox but I'm only doing 45 compared to my normal 2hrs of working out 4-5 days a week. During this challenge I'm working out 45mins at least 6-7 days a week and I'm thinking of extending this and the detox to August 19(my bday)... Then I will go back to my normal 1.5-2hrs 4-5 days a week pollo pescatarian lifestyle(semi vegetarian it's a word, look it up lol)... For the most part I'm feeling ok despite being fatigue also, but that is due to my own abnormal sleep schedule, being a full time mommy, self employed, amongst other things as well.
